The Village of Sunrise Beach Missouri is a small, community on the west side of the Lake Of The Ozarks and came into existence as a result of Bagnell Dam being built, which formed the Lake Of The Ozarks. A post office called Sunrise Beach has been in operation since 1932 and the village was named for its location near the beach.
Sunrise
Beach is one of the smaller villages or communities when compared to other
locations in Missouri. The village
legal boundaries comprise an area of about 5.5 sq. miles and a water area of
0.01 sq. mile. It is located mostly in
Camden County and is in the Central time zone and has an elevation of 846 feet. The weather is cooler in the winter with
occasional light snow and warm in the summer with lots of sunny days. Flowers and plants both wild and cultivated
bloom in the spring and summer with autumn producing the beautiful reds and
yellows of the season.

Beach.

Our name, Bear Bottom Resort, was inspired by our family’s love for the outdoors and our children’s love of spending the summer barefoot. Originally built in 1959 by Mr. Eddie Bryant, the resort opened as The Holly Air Resort, boasting such “lavish” amenities as air conditioned rooms, electricity and a pool. Our family purchased the resort on August 1, 2008 and immediately started to renovate, repair and re-invent a classic lakefront resort. Our 58 acre resort features lakefront rental units, two restaurants, three bars, an RV park and campground, two waterslides, 38 covered boat slips, fuel dock, gift shop and a boat ramp. Our children may text rather than talk, and TVs are all in color these days…but the memory of a boat ride or the thrill of hooking the first fish of the weekend will ALWAYS trump making the high score on a video game. Enjoy your time with us and come as often as you can!
Book one of our fantastic lakeside cabins for your next getaway Listen to the wind in the trees, the fish jumping in the lake as you sit on our covered fishing dock, pole in the water, cold beverage by your side. Play a round of cards on the picnic table while grilling your favorite meal. Watch your children learn to water ski for the first time. Visit with guests on the swim dock while soaking in the warm summer sun. Challenge a friend to a game of pool in our game room. Soak your tensions away in our hot tub. Rent one of our boats and tour the 99 miles of outstanding waterways that makeup the Lake of the Ozarks. Push a child on the swing set. Walk with your pet or spouse through our 10 acres of wooded property. Avoid the cold or rain in our indoor pool. Or, simply take a deep breath of fresh air and let your imagination soar
